Greetings fellow members! For those of you that were able to attend our annual meeting in January, we would like to say “thanks” for maintaining your faith in our club’s elected officials: Bullock-pres., Furman-VP, Ham-Sec/Treas, Fagyal-News Letter and Beck-Webmaster! We are here to serve our members, YOU! Let us know your thoughts and ideas for this new year of Garden Railroading and we will pass them along to our fellow members for their response. Please don’t hesitate to schedule an open house to share your enthusiasm in garden railroading, even if it’s only a layout sketch on paper! Contact Ham and he’ll add you to the calendar of open houses. Also, as discussed in our meeting, we are aggressively putting together a club directory of our members to include name, address, email address, phone number, scale, railroad name, amount of trackage, layout description, era, equipment (steam, diesel, freight, passenger, etc), type of train control system, how you got started, favorite prototype, areas of expertise and anything else you’d like to share! We hope to have this directory ready as soon as possible. An adequate binder hasn’t been located yet, but I’ve been busy getting the directory started. We will keep you informed as progress is being made. If not mistaken, a directory format may be included in with this NL. If so, please fill it out and pass it on to any one of us . Since I’ve volunteered to do the formatting and printing, you may send them to me. Happy Garden Railroading! the Pres. |
